work in progress…

Final Hour (also known as Final Hour Music and Final Hour UK), is an alternative indie/goth rock band.
The band started in 1987 as In The Wild, but was renamed as Final Hour when the band’s songwriter David J Griffiths moved from Stanwell to Crawley in late 1989.

The band has been featured in Record Collector Magazine, with their track ‘Serene‘ described by the magazine’s editor Ian Shirley as “the greatest song The Cure never wrote“.

Recent years have seen the band release their EP ‘Grace Under Pressure
and has supported 80s Manchester indie icons, The Chameleons.

They have a Facebook page and you can get some of their music at Bandcamp.

I have a Soundcloud page where you can listen to some of the music I am working on. I don’t do a lot of social media but you can find me on Twitter and Facebook.

Who is Davian Dent…?
This was a name/character originally created to act as the host for the dark comedy show The Bitter Sound and Strange Times Show Dot Com. As these podcasts became more popular, I used the name as a pseudonym for appearances on other podcasts and radio shows. I have a profile on Star Now if you woulod like to check that out…

I was lucky enough to be a co-founder and part of the original team that along with Jon Holmes, created Radio 4’s multi award-winning show  The Skewer (also available on BBC Sounds).

I have a Soundcloud page with some sketches audio clips from some of the various shows I’ve been on. You can also find me on Twitter, Facebook, and TikTok, amongst other places.

If you have any spare change and would like to donate to the running costs or simply buy me a coffee then please click here… You are most worth of laudation.

Bitter Sound Radio
Bitter Sound Radio is a music show I produce occasionally, sometimes with guest presenters. The playlist is curated from my personal music collection and is well worth a listen, especially if you dislike that rubbish that floats around the charts these days. Click here to listen..!
